Church Staff and Leadership Structure
As a non-denominational church, Living Way is not formally affiliated with or under the authority of any existing denomination. We uphold our local autonomy, placing final authority in Jesus Christ and the Bible, while also designating our overseers (i.e. the pastoral staff) as the governing authority over the congregation in the manner of the New Testament elder.

In addition to the pastoral staff, our Leadership Team is comprised of two important circles of leadership: The Deacons Board consists of lay men and women who work closely with the pastoral staff, offering input in and helping to implement those areas pertaining to the practical aspects of ministry. They also provide shepherding and nurturing care to the church family. The Ministry Coordinators consist of lay men and women who are selected by the pastoral staff to oversee the various ministries of the church (e.g. Worship Ministry, Operations Ministry, etc.).
Pastoral Bios
James Yim
James gave his life to Christ in 1991, during his freshman year at Cal State Long Beach. Soon after, he changed his major from graphic design to religious studies, sensing God’s call to vocational ministry. He went on to obtain his M. Div. from Talbot School of Theology in 1999. The year following his graduation, God began something exciting and challenging in his parents’ living room, where James and a group of young and committed people met: Living Way was born. The same year, he married the most wonderful girl, Jeandarlae. His passion is to teach God’s Word so that people’s lives are transformed. His favorite pastimes include reading, growing orchids, watching movies and sports, and spending time with the family. If he was to describe himself in a couple of sentences, this is what he would say: “I was born to be a musician. I just don’t have the talent.”
Ray Causly II
Ray Causly is a preaching pastor at Living Way Community Church. In addition he is one of the founders of Bang Kingdom Ministries in Los Angeles California. Bang Kingdom exists to ignite in the hearts of men and women a passion to invest their entire selves in the extension of the rule and reign of Christ both within and with out. He grew up in Los Angeles, California, and sensed God's call to enter the ministry in High School. He went on to earn degrees from Biola University (B.A. Biblical Studies), Talbot School of Theology (M.A. New Test.) and CSU Dominguez Hills (Multiple Subject Credential). For over a decade he has been involved in bi-vocational ministry as a pastor in various Asian and multiethnic churches and an educator in the predominantly Latino and Black community of Compton in CA for over a decade. Ray and his wife, Ruth, have one son and three daughters and have been married for over 10 years.
