Living Way provides many ways for you to be involved in the church community. For example, you can join us for church-wide fellowship events, join a nearby community group, or serve in a ministry. Read on to learn more about these exciting ways to be part of the community.
The best way to get plugged in to the relational circles at Living Way is by joining a Community Group. Community Groups make up the small group ministry at Living Way. Groups typically consist of 10–20 committed members. The emphasis is on biblically-oriented instruction, discussion, prayer, and fellowship.
Our Community Group meetings are held once a week on various nights (typically Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday). They meet on the following days and locations. To join a group, please click on this CG Sign up link.

Activities/Fellowship ministry is dedicated to inspiring unity and community to all who come to Living Way. This is achieved through providing fun sprit filled activities throughout the year(i.e. beach parties, bowling tournaments, movie and game nights, etc.). In addition, our ministry coordinates and overseas church retreats and baptisms throughout the year. Our ministry is open to all, so if you are a person who loves to plan, run, or attend events that bring people together, come and check us out!
We seek to impact lives through the development of the Christian mind. Aletheia means “truth” in Greek, and accordingly, this institute seeks to offer various courses in areas ranging from theology and apologetics to practical living and spiritual formation. Class sessions are typically held on Sunday afternoons and last for approximately one hour. Please be on the lookout for more announcements about upcoming course offerings that may be of interest to you.
To spread the Word of God by distributing our church messages from Sunday Services, retreats, and other teaching occasions. We take the messages given at our various functions and digitally re-master them to ensure the best possible quality of sound, so that the listener gets the maximum effect of the message. We are always looking for people who have experience with sound editing or have the desire to learn its mechanics.
To be a dynamic community of change, transforming ordinary children into fully devoted disciples of Christ. Our ministry is designed for infants and children from ages 1–11 years. We want to foster a safe environment where children can learn about Christ and grow in His word. We have devoted teachers and caretakers who model Christ's love and guide these beautiful children to know God. If you are interested in nurturing these children into disciples of Jesus Christ, please contact us!
To use the congregation's artistic gifts as a means of worship and recognizing the awesome glory of God. CAM enhances teaching, communication, and fellowship for the congregation by producing high-quality films and performances that stir the hearts and minds of the audience. The ministry employs bold creativity, skillful talent, solid teamwork, and professional standards in all productions. The goal of these productions is always to glorify God alone, expand His Kingdom, and build up fully devoted disciples of Jesus Christ. Furthermore, the ministry serves as a facilitator for the discussion, exploration, and promotion of the arts as a method of conveying theological truths.
To provide a close-knit community context in which people can experience genuine life transformation. We believe "church" really happens in smaller groups, where people can connect with one another and grow in knowing God, serving one another, and reaching out to the community. Groups are organized by location and/or lifestage. We encourage everyone to sign up!
To develop a Christ-centered, financially responsible community that strives to be good stewards of all the resources that God has blessed us with.
To provide opportunities for fellowship and to promote community within the church in practical ways. Members of the hospitality committee provide food and refreshments on Sundays and meals on special holidays. This ministry is open for anyone who wants to join this committee and is looking for a way to serve the church. If you are someone who enjoys behind-the-scenes-helping and creating a nurturing environment we would love for you to join our team!
To make an impact for Jesus Christ one collegian at a time. We provide the context for college students to come together and experience God through worship and authentic relationships. But just as important, we believe God brings us together for a purpose beyond just experiencing community at church. We want to equip and empower students to impact the local community and their campuses through sharing the good news of Jesus Christ.
Friday Night Live (Inreach) FNL takes place on Friday nights @ 8pm at the office. The purpose of this gathering is to bring college-aged students together so that we can encounter God and fellowship with His people. In other words, encouraging each other by sharing what God is doing in our lives. At this gathering we will have praise, sharing of the Word in small group, and outings.
To provide the church with excellent technology and communication tools in order to facilitate ministry effectiveness. As technology is continually changing the way we do things, there are constantly new mediums through which we can best reach out to the church and the community. Here at Living Way, information technology has become an integral part of the way we minister. This includes our website, the centralized dissemination of information, e-mailing of weekly announcements for quick updates, digital recordings of Sunday sermons, and several more applications. This ministry is open to people at all skill levels. If you are interested in getting involved (website updates, streaming multimedia, digital imaging/graphics, etc.) feel free to contact us!
To fulfill the Great Commission here in L.A.: “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28:19–20). We prioritize and value building relationships with and actively loving our community. We want to train and equip believers to share the gospel and to impact our local community. Although our service opportunities are flexible in order to meet the changing needs of people, the crux of local missions is the unchanging message of the gospel. There will be various service opportunities announced throughout the year, but we currently researching avenues of long-term investment. We are always searching for and open to new ways of reaching out to the people of our community. Contact us!
To bring awareness of world missions to Living Way and to mobilize the church for overseas missions. We hope to accomplish this through the following: First, we will promote world missions awareness through events such as the annual missions month in February. Second, we will support and send out short-term missionaries and teams from our church. Third, we will develop long-term relationships with a specific people group, mobilizing and supporting long-term missionaries to this group. Finally, we want to promote faithful prayer on behalf of missionary efforts worldwide. There are many ways to get involved, and new ideas are always needed. Join us!
To ensure that Living Way’s various events, such as Sunday services, retreats, and other activities, run smoothly. Although we work behind the scenes (e.g. setting up equipment), we are vital to church events. We are always looking for committed people who enjoy working in a coordinated effort to make sure we operate as smoothly and efficiently as possible.
To be dynamic witnesses of God through the fellowship of the Holy Spirit in every aspect of sports. We, as believers, should hold true to the Gospel of Jesus Christ through sports as a gateway, not only to reach out to non-believers but to have fellowship with one another. Our goal is to glorify Christ with our words, thoughts, and actions--on and off the playing field.
To help newcomers feel at home and to help the people at Living Way connect. It is imperative as believers to focus develop intimate relationships extending both vertically and horizontally (i.e. with God and with people). For newcomers, we are glad you came. We want to help you get plugged into our church by spending time with you and inviting you to be a part of our lives. For “oldtimers,” we hope to deepen existing relationships and encourage you to connect with newcomers. On any given Sunday, you will see us with name tags, running around doing various tasks in addition to meeting and greeting. We are professionals in the art of program distribution, ushering, and the administration of information. Welcome to Living Way! It’s nice to meet you!
Helping people respond in worship to the revelation of God's glory. Our worship ministry desires to lead God's people into becoming living sacrifices in response to His grace and glory. All throughout Scripture worshippers demonstrate their utter surrender with the physical gesture of falling facedown. This is the kind of life-posture we want our worship ministry to help foster. Worship is the entry-point into fulfilling God’s intended destiny and design for us, the release-point of great blessing to us, and the power-point by which we are transformed and empowered to become witnesses to the world around us. Let's be expressive in our love and worship to an awesome God!
At Living Way, we recognize there is a wide range of commitment levels held by those who attend our services. Our doors are always open to any and all, whatever the level of commitment and involvement. Still, there comes a point when a church finds it necessary to delineate who among its attendees represents the church and what the church is about.
To this end, we offer our Church Membership Class. This class consists of three sessions of three hours each on consecutive Sunday afternoons. It is taught by the pastoral staff, covering all important areas relevant for anyone interested in becoming a member (e.g., church vision, doctrine, structure, etc.). Following the completion of the class, any person interested in pursuing membership will be asked to complete a membership application, which will be reviewed by the pastoral staff.
Classes are offered three times a year (February, June, October). The fee is $15, which covers the cost of the 100-page Membership Handbook. In addition, all who take the class will receive a special gift (Systematic Theology by Wayne Grudem). Please be on the lookout for signup announcements for our next class.
NOTE: Anyone interested in becoming a member before or after the classes are held can turn in a membership application on the first Sunday of each month. Membership applications will be accepted and reviewed on the condition that those who apply will read through the entire Membership Handbook, take the next Membership Class, and meet with a pastor for an interview. The purpose of this policy is to allow people to apply for membership without having to wait for the next class, particularly if they hope to serve in a representative ministry. For additional information and/or to receive the membership application and handbook, please contact the church office.
