No Sunday Service for August 29, 2010
There will be no Sunday service this Sunday due to retreat. If you are interested, there is still an opportunity for you to sign up and come to the retreat. Hope to see everyone at the retreat!
Annual Fall Retreat
Our annual church-wide fall retreat is almost here! Don't miss this once-a-year opportunity to grow in Christ and build friendships.
This year's theme is "Out of the Box: Seeing God For Who He Really Is" and our speaker will be Pastor Tony Kim.
We are now taking sign-ups. The fees are:
General Cabin (singles and married without children): $69 per person
Family Lodge
Base Cost: $218 per couple
Children ages 0-1: Free
Children ages 2-4: $19 per child
Children ages 4+: $39 per child
FINANCIAL AID
Financial aid is available to anyone who would like to attend but would have difficulty paying the registration fee. To inquire about financial aid, please e-mail john.tanouye@lwccla.org.

Lighting Operator Needed
If you're looking for a new way to serve God, consider serving on Sundays with the AV tech team! We are in need of some additional volunteers to join our rotation of lighting operators. No prior experience is required! Setting up and operating the lighting equipment is easy to learn. Responsibilities include coming to church about an hour early to set up equipment, operating the lighting board during service, and breaking down the equipment after service. The rotation would require you to serve at least once a month. If interested, please contact reuel.kim@lwccla.org.
Love Alexandria Community Fair
Love Alexandria Community Fair is back from break and we will be offering our services to the people of the surrounding neighborhood. You can serve in a variety of ways as we will be offering:

A Heart for Orphans
Have you ever thought about serving in an orphan ministry? Becoming a foster or adoptive parent? Or just curious to learn about children in foster care? Come learn about what Olive Crest Foster and Adoption Agency is doing in LA County and the many opportunities you have to get involved! On Saturday, July 24th at 10am, Olive Crest will be holding an information meeting at the church office.

Communion Sunday
First Sunday of the month is here! Let's prepare our hearts and minds during the week of our Communion Sunday.
Sunday Parking
Parking will not be available on the playground for church this Sunday due to construction. Please park in the two-story parking lot on the Oakwood side. Parking will also be available in the parking lot on the Rosewood Avenue side or you can also street park.
Newcomers' Fellowship - Saturday, July 17th
Looking for a way to get plugged in and meet some people at church? Doesn't matter if you have been coming out for one month or one year, we would love to see you at our newcomer's fellowship!
